Hardcover. Condition: Fine. Dust jacket included. Richards, Milton, pseudonym of Milo Milton Oblinger: TOM BLAKE'S MYSTERIOUS ADVENTURE. Akron, Ohio: Saalfield, 1929. Saalfield does not indicate editions. Fine hardcover in bright pictorial dustwrapper with scant edgewear. Frontis illustration. Juvenile mystery and detection. The author is remembered for his "Dick Kent" Canadian Mounties series of the Far North, but also wrote one science fiction novel The Valdmere Mystery; or, The Atomic Ray. He stopped publishing by the 1930s, then in the early 1940s reappeared under his own name as M. M. Oblinger with further works co-authored with Maxine Shore (1902-1998), she being a forgotten member of Dorothy Parker's Algonquin group, and editor at Harper's, until leaving for California where she taught creative writing through the Carmel Foundation. Although occasionally conflated in recent references, Milo Oblinger (1890-1967) is not the same as Milo Milton Oblinger who was born in 1900 and whose date of death is unknown.
