Condition: new. ALL UK PARCELS SENT TRACKED! ALL OVERSEAS PARCELS SENT AIRMAIL, TRACKED! (New, Paperback, 2014). (2011) 2014 2nd edition. Large 8vo paperback (169 x 240mm). Pp479. Colour photographs and the odd b/w photograph throughout, folded watercolour sketch map of Wraysbury laid in. Fine new copy. The first edition of The Wraysbury Chronicles, published in 2011, very quickly sold out and has since become quite sought-after and hard to find. By popular demand the book has been reissued in a just slightly smaller-format paperback edition. Only 750 copies have been printed. "Following .the popularity of the Horton Chronicles, it was an obvious progression to go down Welley Road to the legendary Wraysbury One. As much a part of angling history as any other lake you could mention, this huge lake has tested the resilience and skills of many of England's best known anglers, but has also held jewels that any angler would crave. Fishing on Wraysbury has always been a test of endurance, and in this book you'll find evidence of those that have passed the test, and also those that have failed." (Keith Jenkins - publisher and editor). Contributors include; Paul Martin, Chris Ball, Nick West, Phil Escott, Barry & Sam Meeuwissen, Vijay Gooriah, Dave Moore, Dave Cumpstone, Steve Allcott, Phil Thompson, Dave Lane, Darren (Tetley) Ward, Keith Jenkins, Ian(Chilly) Chillcott, Phil (Jacko) Jackson, Simon Scott, Ben Gratwicke, Vincent Jenkins, Matt Saunders, Trevor Johnson, Kevin (Hippy) Winter, Ben Dowers, Chris Gardner, Damian Coombs, Simon Garrard, Tom Anderson, Adam Penning. .

ALL UK PARCELS SENT TRACKED! ALL OVERSEAS PARCELS SENT AIRMAIL, TRACKED! (S/hand, Hardcover, 2011 ). 2011 1st edition. 4to (185 x 257mm). Ppxviii,379. Colour photographs throughout, end-paper map. Laminated boards simulating a battered old leather binding. Slight use but a very good copy of the first edition. "In carp fishing terms, the history of Horton Church Lake is relatively short, a mere two decades which, when compared to the likes of Redmire, Wraysbury, Darenth and Yateley makes it barely a teenager. But in that time, its place in the pages of English Carp fishing has been written many times. The Horton Chronicles has been written by a few of its anglers glad to tell their stories of the good times, and bad times too. You will laugh, maybe cry but most of all you'll want to read the stories from start to finish." Contributors include; Johnny Moult, Stuart Rothwell, Martin Gardener, Darren Ward, Chris Pearson, Alan South, Robbie Stoddard, Steve Mogford, Tony Badham, Peter Bond, Simon Lavin, Garry Bond, Del Smith, Garth Ecclestone, Ben Musselwhite, Matt Eaton, Martin Pick, Dennis de Wilde, Barry Meeuwissen, Kevin Winter, John Beacher, Dave Slowen. The cover (matt laminated boards) represents a facsimile of an old leather-bound journal, complete with disintegrating spine. The publishers stated that this edition was limited to only 1000 copies. These sold out very quickly on publication. A second, revised, edition, titled The Horton Chronicles - The Banned Edition was published later in 2011. This, too, was limited to 1000 copies. .

ALL UK PARCELS SENT TRACKED! ALL OVERSEAS PARCELS SENT AIRMAIL, TRACKED! (S/hand, Hardcover, 2013). 2013 1st edition. 4to (185 x 255mm). Pp464. Colour and b/w photographs throughout. Matt laminated boards simulating an old binding. Near fine second-hand copy with map enclosed inside front cover. "For many carp anglers, Savay Lake is as mystical a place as Redmire Pool; a lake that few have fished but where many would dearly love to. For five decades this seventy acre lake has been producing fish that would make the carp world sit up and gasp, but it wasn't until the early eighties that the real stories of multiple catches of twenties and thirties started to filter out through the angling press. Mike Wilson's iconic pose on the front of the first Carp Society magazine caught everybody's attention, and then the 'bible' that is 'The Carp Strikes Back', by Rod Hutchinson, focussed that attention and moved Savay Lake towards it's now mythical status. Further excellent books, in the shape of Rob Maylin's 'Tiger Bay' and John Harry's 'Savay', confirmed that status, and the fact that only a very few anglers were ever invited to join the elite syndicate just added to the Savay mystique. Many great anglers have trod Savay's 'black mud', but one man can rightly be known as 'Mr Savay', and that is the late Pete Broxup. His diligence, foresight and downright hard work has no doubt made the lake what it is today, and what it has always been under his leadership - a magical place where monsters abide. This book is, rightly, dedicated to Pete, but there are many more who deserve mention, and within these pages you'll read many of their stories. Over 30 anglers have contributed to this tribute of a lake and a man who helped mould it. Amongst them are Mike Wilson, Rod Hutchinson, Albert Romp, Brian Hankins, Bruce Ashby, Frank Ward, Andy Little, John Harry, Clive Williams, Richard Grundy, Jordan Wesley and many more. This may not be the definitive history of Savay Lake, but it's pretty damn close and with over 600 photos stretching back to the very first carp stockings in the early fifties, this is a must for carp anglers young and old." The third title in Freebird's ever popular 'Chronicles' series. .
