Half-Leather. Condition: Very Good. First Edition. Complete set of ten volumes in half-leather binding with marbled boards. Several of the volumes have tearing along the right side of the spine at the top - generally an inch long or less. Volume VII has a little more wear along the right edge of the spine and some surface cracking but the binding is secure. The boards have a little edge wear with some rubbing to the corners and along the edges. Title and volume number stamped on the spine - a little worn but legible on all the volumes. The tops of the page edges are a little browned. Several volumes have brown spotting on the pages with the illustrations at the front of the book. Volume I has a crease down the front free endpaper and slight loosening of the first few pages. Volume II has some surface damage to the rear panel. Volume III has a tiny piece snipped from the bottom corner of the rear free endpaper. Volume VI has creasing to the top corners of a few pages near the front.
