Based on the writer's experience as counsel for manufacturing and commercial interests the book offers practical solutions for the legal phases of business problems, and is divided according to the functions of business. Toulmin was the son of Harry Aubrey Toulmin Sr. who wrote the "flying machine" patent application for the Wright Brothers. Toulmin Jr. also became a patent attorney working for his father. One of their clients was the Tucker Corporation and the name of their firm, Toulmin & Toulmin, appears on the design patent for the Tucker Sedan. Toulmin Jr. would go on to become the chairman of the board of the Tucker Corporation before resigning a few months later in a letter to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.…
