Condition: Very Good. First edition hard back binding in publisher's original blue cloth covers, gilt title and author lettering to the spine. 8vo. 8½'' x 5½''. Contains 255 printed pages of text with monochrome illustrations and maps throughout. A little sun fading to the top of the spine where a piece of the wrapper is missing, not much wear to the covers, foxing to the page edges. Very Good condition book in Very Good condition colour illustrated dust wrapper with 40 mm tear to the top of the spine, 30 mm closed tear with related creasing to the foot of the front panel, shallow rubs along the edges, not price clipped 25s. Dust wrapper supplied in archive acetate film protection, this preserves and prolongs the life of the paper, it is not adhered to the book or to the dust wrapper. Member of the P.B.F.A.
