CONTENTS DESCRIPTION: Very good copy of a great and quite scarce narrative on the famous 6th Wisconsin; it being part of the famous Iron Brigade and is identified as one of the Fox 300 Fighting Regiments. Lee, Mclellan, Grant, and others are included, with depictions of the Wisconsin officers in the war as well. An important account of the Civil War from a midwesterner's point of view. Minor rippling to the front board, bound without the portrait of Colonel E.C. Dawes, no evidence of its removal.
