Stewart was a prominent Scottish fundamentalist evangelist who also wrote books, started a publishing company and directed the Russian Bible Society. Stewart was the first preacher from the West to go behind the Iron Curtain after World War II. It is Dr. Stewart's signature on front fly leaf. In 1970 there was a fire in his home leaving dark smoke marks on some books. There is no smoke odor. CONDITION: Blue boards, gilt title on cover and blackened spine; dark areas of covers due, most probably, to smoke.
