This book resulted from a prolonged visit to Genoa, where Dickens took his family to stay in 1844. His acute eye, his dynamic powers of description and his ever ready sense of humor were brought to bear on what he saw--on the scenery, the customs and the institutions of Italy, as well as on the Italians themselves. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
