Utilitarian black limp cloth covers with title in syllabic characters blind-stamped to the centre of front cover, publishers' red foredge stain. Title page in Cree syllabics with parallel title in English from tit…le page verso. Originally published as part of the Old Testament in Cree in 1908, from which this publication was extracted and subsequently reprinted in 1924. Page three offers a romanization from key to the Cree syllabic system with vowels, and numerals. No detectable flaws, contents bright, clean and unmarked with tight, sound binding. A handsome presentation of an exceedingly scarce title. OCLC #: 75635852. We note the presence of only one known copy of this particular edition amongst any institutional holdings. Library and Archives Canada indicates the presence of an earlier printing (see OCLC #1007531415) from 1921 with similar points and the following bibliographic references: Cf. Darlow & Moule 3135 (1905 ed.); Cf. Evans, K. Masinahikan, no. 124 (1905 ed.) ; Cf. Peel (2nd ed.), no. 1791 (1905 ed.) ). We should note that this iteration [i.e.: publication date of 1924] is not present in Evans, K. Masinahikan.
