P.S., 6 août 1700, 1p in-4 oblong. Sur parchemin. Quittance pour des charges pour les six derniers mois de l'année 1699, contresignée par deux notaires. Noël-Eustache est le petit-fils du médecin Noël Péan du Chesnay (1563-1650), le neveu de Simon et Noël et le fils de Charles (1600-1686), tous trois médecins. On trouve encore un Péan du Chesnay médecin au Mans en 1761. [330-2].

Predikant te Lübeck (1666), predikant en hoogleraar te Ham (1674); predikant te Middelburg 1676 (in dat jaar tevens afgezet).Nadat eind zestiende eeuw de Republiek was gevestigd en de gereformeerde kerk hierin de bevoorrechte kerk was geworden, ontstond binnen de volgende generaties gereformeerden onenigheid over de uitgangspunten van de kerkelijke leer. Een belangrijk twistpunt was de overheidsbemoeienis in kerkelijke zaken. Een en ander kwam tot uitbarsting rond de benoeming van coccejaan Wilhelmus Momma als predikant in Middelburg in 1676. Leyde (Leiden) (fictitious = Amsterdam), Jean Dv Val (= Abraham Wolfgang ), aux armes de Liège, 1666, in-12°, 213 +(1) pp , contemporary full vellum, small unidentifiable manuscript ex-libris note on title, fine copy. Sphere woodcut device on title , headpiece (Rahir 257). This is the first edition with "DV'' instead of "DU" in the imprint. Willems attributes this imprint to Abraham Wolfgang (see Willems 1755) and this is corroborated by Rahir, who attributes the headpiece also to A. Wolfgang (see Rahir 3149). Gregorio Leti (1630-1701) wrote a number of anti-Catholic works, ".The fact that his uncle was a prelate and Leti lived in his household.explains Leti's intimate knowledge of the abuses and intrigues which were present in the papal court." Krivatsy "Maldacini was the alleged power behind Innocent X. This Italian tale describes how she neglected her family to assist her brother-in-law until he was eventually elected pope. ALKMAAR, 17E-EEUWSE HANDELSSTAD AAN HET ZEGLIS "Alckmaria", kopergravure vervaardigd voor Frederick de Wit voor 1690, hier in een uitgave van Gregorio Leti als onderdeel van diens "Teatro Belgico" uit 1690. Later met de hand gekleurd. Afm. (prent) 38,5 x 50,5 cm. "Omtrent anderhalf uur gaans van de Noordzee" was Alkmaar medio 17e-eeuw "een zeer aangenaam oord, omringt door vele vruchtbare landen, fraaie en plezierige plantages, boomgaarden en tuinen. Alles wat het land aan voedsel en vermaak voortbracht, was er in overvloed. Dat maakte de stad zo mooi en aangenaam dat het voor geen enkele stad in de buurt onder hoefde te doen." Aldus de Alkmaarse notaris Sierik Siersma. Van grote betekenis voor de stad was de zoutwinning, totdat branden in 1605 en 1616 de zoutketen in as legden. In plaatst daarvan begon men volop bier te brouwen en legde men zich toe op het vervaardigen van draperieën. De handel op de vrijdagmiddag- en zaterdagochtendmarkt was goed voor de economie stad en werd in combinatie met de "weeckelijke suyvelmarckt" een belangrijke bron van inkomsten. In de zomermaanden werd er in twee dagen "omtrent vijf mael hondert duysent ponden kaes" gewogen. Gregorio Leti (16301701) was geschiedschrijver en satiricus, geboren in Milaan en later geëmigreerd naar Engeland. Hij schreef voor Charles II een geschiedenis van Engeland, maar vluchtte 1685 naar Amsterdam vanwege het beledigen van zijn opdrachtgever. In Holland werkte hij aan zijn "Teatro Belgico", een boek over de geschiedenis van de Zeven Provinciën. Voor het drukken van deze plattegrond -versierd met wapen met de leeuw van Holland en van Alkmaar met de burcht - maakte Leti gebruik van de koperen plaat die al eerder werd gebruikt door Frederick de Wit. De Wit op zijn beurt had de stad opnieuw laten graveren aan de hand van de kaart van Joan Blaeu, maar snijdt de voorstelling iets bij aan zuid-oostelijke zijde daar waar de rivier het Zeglis de stad in stroomt.
