Immediate dispatch from Somerset. Nice book in great condition. Pages in excellent condition. No notes or highlighting. See images. Fantastic book. About the book >.>.> This is not a book about going into full-time farming, about self- sufficiency or the alternative life-style' or living in rural communes. Those concepts are fine for those who wish to pursue them, and much of what I cover refers to aspects of those undertakings. My objective is simply to provide useful information for those who want to enjoy the pleasures of living in the country without necessarily giving up a career or social contacts in the city, and without rejecting all the paraphernalia of so-called sophisticated living. It is for those who want "the best of both worlds". Many people have, of course, already made the move from the suburbs to a semi-rural setting. They are referred to generally as 'smallfarmers' or 'smallholders' or 'hobby farmers' who live on '10-acre blocks' or 'farmlets' (LL).
