Jason is an author, healthcare technology leader, photographer, woodworker, and lifelong student of human behavior—particularly the kind that makes you wonder how certain people managed to get promoted, elected, or trusted with sharp objects.

With more than 30 years of experience in healthcare, technology, and corporate leadership, Jason has seen organizations at their best, their worst, and those special moments when everyone agrees something is terribly wrong but schedules another meeting to discuss it. His career began in hands-on surgical care and evolved into managing hospital operations, leading professional services teams, advising healthcare executives, and helping organizations navigate complicated technology and operational transformations.

Along the way, he has worked with frontline healthcare professionals, corporate executives, and just about every personality type in between. He has led teams, managed high-stakes initiatives, mentored emerging leaders, and learned that the difference between great leadership and spectacular failure often comes down to humility, accountability, and knowing when to stop talking. These experiences helped shape his writing, which blends sharp observations, biting humor, sarcasm, and an unapologetic willingness to explore the uncomfortable truths people would rather ignore.

His writing crosses genres, from the darkly comedic *Lead from Behind: A Field Guide to Organizational Self-Sabotage*, which takes aim at dysfunctional leadership, corporate absurdity, and the people who turn simple decisions into strategic initiatives, to the upcoming *What the Concrete Holds*, a suspense novel exploring faith, manipulation, power, and the secrets people bury—sometimes quite literally.

Regardless of genre, Jason's writing shares a fascination with human nature, flawed characters, questionable decisions, and the complicated line between what people believe and what they're willing to do. He is particularly interested in the ways people justify their actions, the consequences of unchecked authority, and the absurdity that often emerges when ambition gets ahead of common sense.

Beyond writing and his professional career, Jason is passionate about woodworking, photography, personalities, and unexpected moments that make the world interesting. He is also a longtime supporter of public education through DonorsChoose, helping teachers turn classroom ideas into reality and providing students with resources and opportunities they might otherwise lack. He believes curiosity and creativity should be encouraged early, supported often, and never buried beneath bureaucracy.

Jason lives in Northern Michigan with his two dogs, Nacho and Hondo, who provide loyal companionship, occasional creative inspiration, and considerably less corporate jargon than most of the executives he's encountered. When he's not writing, working, or taking photographs, he's likely enjoying the outdoors, finding humor in life's absurdities, or quietly collecting material for another book. For legal reasons, he maintains that any resemblance to actual corporate executives is purely coincidental.

He believes life is too short to take yourself too seriously, that the best stories challenge what we think we know, and that sometimes the most honest response to the ridiculousness of the world is a well-timed laugh—and perhaps a little sarcasm.
