Robert Alberic Ferguson

Robert Alberic Ferguson is an author, painter, and multidisciplinary artist whose creative work is deeply rooted in American history and generational memory.

He studied history at the University of Montana before continuing his visual arts education at Parsons School of Design in New York. This intersection of rigorous historical study and fine art training shapes his approach to storytelling—treating every scene with the sensory texture of an oil painting and the structural truth of an archive. As a musician and composer recording under the name Rob Alberic, he brings a rhythmic, cinematic pulse to both his studio work and his written narratives.

His sweeping debut novel, Convergence: A Tapestry of Love, Passion, and Defiance, grew out of decades of archival research into his own lineage. Drawing directly from real family documents, preserved photographs, land records, and oral histories, Ferguson resurrects the forgotten journeys of his ancestors: Cherokee matriarchs walking the Trail of Tears, Dust Bowl migrations along Route 66, and mid-century builders carving a legacy out of the California and Nevada deserts.

Ferguson writes, paints, and records from his studio, dedicated to giving voice to the real lives, endurance, and quiet defiance that history left behind.
