Three children, all piled into one bed together, night after night, calling out the same request: "Daddy, do made-up stories! Do made-up stories!" And every night, without a book in hand, he would lean back and let his imagination wander wherever it wanted to go, and somehow, no matter where those stories landed, the three of them were spellbound.

One of those three children never forgot it. I remember leaning against Daddy's shoulder while the made-up stories unspooled into worlds none of us could have dreamed up on our own. These books are my attempt to bring a few of them back to life, so that other families might pile into one bed together and ask for one more.
