Sarah Spector is a Certified Public Accountant and independent business consultant who did not expect eldercare advocacy to become her second career. She spent four years learning a system that was not built for people like Schatzi, and she learned most of it the hard way. Her writing explores caregiving, chosen family, grief, trauma, and the complicated ways families shape us. She lives in the Bay Area with her rescue dog, Obi. Next Best Thing is her first book.
