Alexia Gonzalez is a bilingual media personality, radio host, author, and lifestyle storyteller with a passion for uncovering the people, places, and stories that make Florida unforgettable.

Born and raised in Miami to a Cuban mother and Spanish father, Alexia began her career in media at just 12 years old, working in Hispanic radio and television before expanding into English-language media, lifestyle journalism, public relations, and digital content. Today, she is the midday host on Tampa Bay’s Magic 94.9, where she connects with listeners through pop culture, local happenings, and the stories shaping the community she calls home.

Alexia is also the founder of The Gala Life, a lifestyle and travel platform dedicated to discovering memorable experiences throughout Tampa Bay, Florida, and beyond; The Gala Group Agency, a bilingual marketing and communications agency; and St. Pete Gals, a community connecting and empowering women creators and entrepreneurs throughout Tampa Bay.

Her longtime love of travel and storytelling inspired her debut book, Secret Florida: A Guide to the Weird, Wonderful, and Obscure, co-authored with JoAnn Hill. Through strange history, local legends, hidden destinations, and wonderfully unexpected attractions, the book invites readers to venture beyond Florida’s postcard-perfect beaches and discover a side of the Sunshine State they may never have known existed.

When she isn’t behind the microphone, creating content, or chasing her next Florida story, Alexia can usually be found exploring Tampa Bay, planning her next adventure, or discovering another hidden gem worth sharing.
