As a competitive runner and triathlete, I continuously focus on nutrition and training for improvement. When my exotic birds started dying at a young age due to heart disease, I used me background in chemical engineering to create meals and prevent this disease among others from occurring. To save time, I design the meals to meet standard guidelines for both birds and humans so we can both enjoy these meals and improve our quality of life. I wrote and published the book, "Designing the Perfect Meal for Your Bird and You," for others to benefit from eating these meals. The book represents years of research and trial and error to create these meals. I currently serve as the treasurer for the Acadiana Bird Club, Inc.
