Phillip Herring

Phillip Anthony Herring is a portrait and street documentary photographer, writer, and podcaster from Palmer Park, Prince George's County, Maryland. Working under the name Phillip Anthony Portraits since 2012, he has built a career capturing intimate, cinematic images of everyday life, with documentary work spanning Zimbabwe, London, Washington DC, and New Orleans.

“Common Ground” is his debut memoir, built around the pillars of mind, body, and spirit and drawn from the personal stories that shaped his life in Palmer Park. He co-hosts the Creative Habits Podcast, where he explores the habits and mindsets behind creative work, and holds a BA in Video Production with a minor in Photography from The Art Institute of Washington.

He continues to document the people and places around him through his camera, his writing, and his voice.
