Deano Jones

Deano Jones lives on twenty-two acres east of Austin, Texas, with his wife Sarah and a goat named Frank.

Frank showed up feral across the road and stayed about a year and a half. After a storm, a sheriff, and a string of sanctuaries that wouldn't take an intact male, Deano and Sarah built him a place of his own -- the Goatel -- and he's been there ever since. The books started as a way to explain him to people.

There are three so far: No Fence Can Hold Him, Feral Frank Goes to Work, and Feral Frank Saves Christmas.

Frank is a real goat. Every page started with him.
