Michelle Sullivan is an educator, author, speaker, and host of the Literacy in Color podcast with a passion for literacy. She has served as a classroom teacher, reading interventionist, and K-5 instructional literacy coach. Her work is grounded in the science of reading, with a special interest in phonics, morphology, and vocabulary. She's the founder of The Colorful Classroom, co-founder of Logos Literacy Academy, as well as co-creator of the Beyond Phonics Club, where she support educators in extending literacy instruction beyond foundational phonics skills. Whether she's writing for educators or young children, her goal is to make complex ideas about literacy practical, accessible, and engaging. She believes there is so much more to words than what we see on the surface -- and hopes her work inspires others to become just as curious about language as she is.
