Ben van Praag

Ben van Praag is a Belgian author with a lifelong passion for radio, storytelling and the way the past continues to shape the present. His broadcasting career began in 1979 with the legendary offshore station Radio Mi Amigo, broadcasting from the radio ship Magdalena. In the early 1980s, he went on to work for Radio Maeva, one of Belgium's best-known independent radio stations of the era.

Those years behind the microphone have remained an important influence on his life and writing. His fiction combines human relationships with history, mystery and the unexpected. In INTERIM, his first novel published in English, he explores love, identity and impossible choices across four centuries.

Ben van Praag lives in Belgium and continues to write fiction alongside projects inspired by his many years in radio.
