Greg Holdsworth

Greg Holdsworth is a designer, maker and writer whose work tends to begin where most people would rather not look.

Trained in product design, he created an award-winning, environmentally principled coffin that drew international attention - including placement in the Smithsonian’s Cooper Hewitt. Along the way he also trained in the Human Givens approach to psychotherapy, which turns out to be useful for a subject like this one.

Long before online reviews, he visited, photographed and wrote about scores of distinctive places to stay for the Boutique Lodgings series and The B&B Directory. Since then he has worked behind the scenes on business and leadership books, and on technical reports spanning climate and development.

Leave No Trace draws these threads together: a candid account of building something meaningful around death, design and what we leave behind.

He divides his time between New Zealand and the UK, and is happiest on a long coastal walk.
