Michele Valenti

Michele Valenti is a retired educator who spent more than 35 years in the classroom, sharing countless read-aloud books with young learners. With a lifelong love of children’s literature, she always dreamed of writing a book of her own.

Inspired by her son’s recent deployment, Michele wrote My Daddy Is a Soldier – Hip Hip Hooray! to honor the many families who support their loved ones in uniform and their brave children—our littlest heroes—who stand proudly by their sides.

As an author, she loves creating stories filled with rhythm, imagination, and heart—stories that children can giggle, read, and enjoy again and again.

Her hope is to create special moments between children and the grown-ups who read with them.
