Katherine N. Hansen is an educator, author, and lifelong believer that learning works best when it feels like play.
With a master’s degree in education and years of experience teaching young children, Katherine creates books designed to spark curiosity, build confidence, and keep minds happily engaged. Her work ranges from children’s stories filled with humor, heart, and wonderfully imperfect characters to puzzle and activity books that encourage readers of all ages to think, notice, create, and have fun.
Many of Katherine’s children’s books are inspired by the funny, imaginative world of childhood—and sometimes developed with a little help from her daughter, Gracie, whose ideas have a way of making their way onto the page.
Whether she’s creating a logic puzzle, a seek-and-find challenge, a coloring adventure, or a story about a squirrel with very strong opinions, Katherine’s goal is simple: make books people genuinely enjoy spending time with.
Katherine lives in Minnesota, where she continues to teach, write, create, and collect far more book ideas than she could possibly finish at once.
