Adrienne Terblanche

Adrienne was born and brought up in Dover, the setting for her novel, The Papermaker’s Daughter. Bursting with historical treasures from the Bronze Age to WW2, the town fostered her love of history. After a degree in Classics at Cambridge, she taught the subject in secondary schools until she quit teaching and moved to SW France to restore an old stone farmhouse and run a gîte with her husband. This lifestyle change allowed her to find time to fulfil her long-held desire to write a novel. She moved back to the UK in 2025 and is currently working on a sequel to The Papermaker’s Daughter to create a generational saga. When not writing, she is helping her husband to restore an old cottage and enjoys walking in the pretty Suffolk countryside.
