Joe Grammatico didn't set out to be a children's author — he set out to survive raising his own kids, and somewhere along the way he started writing it all down. The Real Life Adventures of Gianna and Sal is what happened next: a chapter book series built on things that actually happened, filtered through a healthy dose of "you can't make this stuff up" and a lot of laughing about it after the fact.

When Joe's not writing, you'll find him outside — hunting or taking care of the family farm — or at the hockey rink, where he coaches, trying to pass on the same love of the game to the next generation that he has for it himself. But his favorite team by far is the one at home. His family comes first, always, and it shows.
