Ken is first and foremost a pastor of the gospel of Jesus Christ, serving as lead pastor for 10 years in his hometown of San Diego. He’s also a 40-year educator with a bachelor’s and master’s degree in education, teaching in the US and abroad. His spiritual and educational pursuits inspired him to write Bound in Glory and his first book, You Might Be a Christian Knucklehead.
For 23 years, Ken served his country and its military members abroad as a teacher, administrator, and coach through the US Department of Defense, living in South Korea, Italy, Spain, and Japan. He was later inducted into the Lincoln High School Hall of Fame for these roles. Ken has excelled in his role as an educator, with students nominating him three times into Who’s Who of American Teachers. He lives as an adventure-seeking “Renaissance Man,” a career social scientist and historian who loves to serve people. Ken has travelled to all 50 states and over 40 countries worldwide and is currently somewhat settled in San Diego with his wonderful wife of 47 years, Linda. God has blessed them with three children and eight grandchildren, each one a special gem.
