Angela Ricketts is an author, artist, speaker, and founder of Sight Stones, a nonprofit dedicated to finding and funding cures for rare retinal eye diseases.
Her journey began when her son was diagnosed with a rare inherited retinal disease—a moment that changed the way Angela saw her family’s future and ultimately the way she saw the world.
In her debut book, Never Lose Sight: Finding My Way Back to Hope Through Vision Loss, Grief, and Clay, Angela shares an deeply personal journey through fear, grief, faith, motherhood, and the unexpected path back to hope. What began at a kitchen table with a piece of clay eventually became Sight Stones: small, handmade works of art created as tangible reminders to never lose sight of what matters most.
Today, Angela uses her story, her art, and her voice to help others navigate the moments in life they never planned for. As a speaker, she brings an honest and deeply human perspective to conversations about grief, resilience, purpose, hope, and what happens when the future you imagined suddenly changes.
Through Sight Stones, Angela is also turning that hope into action. Proceeds from her work help advance the organization’s mission to raise awareness and funding for research aimed at treating and ultimately curing inherited retinal diseases.
Angela is also the co-founder of Better Life Home, an award-winning home service company she built alongside her husband, Matt. But the roles she values most are those closest to home: wife, mother of three, artist, friend, and someone learning every day what it means to keep moving forward without losing sight of what matters most.
Angela lives in St. Louis, Missouri, with her family.
