Janet C. Thomas began her career as a writer for a small-town newspaper before moving into marketing communications, website content, and technology writing for companies in the Seattle area, including Microsoft. A graduate of the University of Washington, she holds a master’s degree in communications. She wrote Bernice: A Fiery Story of Love and Family, a deeply personal memoir, from the recollections of her mother, Bernice Haney. Bringing those stories to the page in Bernice’s plainspoken voice, Janet combines her professional writing experience with a deep respect for family history, women’s resilience, and the quiet power of unconditional love.
