Caroline Moser

Before writing her memoir, Caroline Moser worked as a social anthropologist on international urban development issues of gender, inequality and violence. She undertook research, teaching and training, moving across different institutions in four continents. She was involved in making TV documentaries in Latin America. This included living with her two young sons in a bamboo house in an Ecuadorian slum. Under her academic name, Caroline O.N.Moser she published several books, with the most widely read, Gender Planning and Development: Theory, Practice and Training. She is a University of Manchester emeritus professor, and a University College London honorary professor
