Bahaa Farahat is the founder of Hostinium, a United States information technology company working in servers and infrastructure, information security and cybersecurity, domain services, and the design of large specialized AI-driven systems for industrial and enterprise clients.
He has spent more than twenty-five years in technology. He has built over eight hundred websites for companies across nearly every industry and written feasibility studies for a wide range of ventures. He was early to information technology and telecommunications, and early again to AI tools — using them in production work from the first wave and every working day since.
He is also a writer and a researcher, which turns out to be less of a detour than it sounds: his subject is what stays valuable when producing things stops being difficult, and that question looks different depending on whether you build the systems doing the producing or have to decide what is worth saying at all. He has done both.
Running a company whose product was producing things meant watching the cost of production collapse from the supply side — seeing what clients stopped asking for, what they suddenly needed far more of, and which of them adapted. His first book, Think Expensive, is an account of what that looked like from the inside, turned into a practical system.
He writes about work, attention, and decision-making in an era when producing things stopped being the hard part.
