L.E. Wilkin

L.E. Wilkin writes character-driven British fiction about ordinary people facing extraordinary circumstances, usually in places where the weather is unreliable, the landscape is unforgiving, and a decent cup of tea can solve almost anything.

His debut novel, The Fall, begins the Chronicles of the Fall, a post-apocalyptic series following a family separated by the collapse of modern civilisation. Set across Britain and centred on their remote Highland home, the story combines suspense, practical survival, family loyalty, and the difficult business of building a future when the old world—and most of its technology—has stopped cooperating.

L.E. Wilkin is also the author of the Hartswick series, set in a close-knit Cumbrian village in the heart of the Lake District. Beginning with the prequel novella The Light in the Sheepfold and continuing in A Hartswick Christmas, the series follows the families, friendships, and mountain rescue volunteers whose lives are shaped by the village and the surrounding fells. In Hartswick, everyone knows everyone else’s business, help is never far away, and plans have a habit of changing whenever a rescue pager sounds.

Whether writing about a world in collapse or a community pulling together during difficult times, L.E. Wilkin’s stories are grounded in family, friendship, resilience, understated humour, and the belief that people are strongest when they face hardship together.
