Chris Young

Chris Young is a leading writer, publisher and designer in the gardening industry. He runs CY Gardens, a consultancy focusing on business development, garden design, media planning and content creation. Originally trained in landscape architecture at the University of Gloucestershire, he has spent the last 25 years in publishing as well as being an expert in garden design. His love of the subject, interest in business, and the ability to communicate is something he undertakes with passion and commitment. Chris works with a variety of commercial clients from DK to the Royal Parks, Rutland Nursery to Westland Horticulture, as well as RHS Chelsea Flower Show garden designers and brands. He is Editor-in-Chief of the RHS Encyclopedia of Garden Design, was Head of Editorial at the RHS and former Editor of the Garden Design Journal, the magazine of the Society of Garden and Landscape Designers.
