Matthew Pflug

Matthew Lucas Pflug is an author and storyteller from Cleveland, Ohio. A lifelong lover of fantasy, folklore, science fiction, and the strange places that exist somewhere between imagination and memory, he writes stories about ordinary people and animals who find themselves wandering into extraordinary worlds.

His debut illustrated series. Lost and Found: A Black Cat's Tale, began with a simple idea inspired by his black cat, Moon, and grew into a world of forgotten places, unlikely friendships, adventure, and the enduring hope that nothing is truly lost–only waiting to be found.

Away from writing, Matthew has spent nearly two decades working as a machinist. He lives in Cleveland with his wife, children, and the animals who have inspired more than a few stories. He continues to write and illustrate new works through Lost and Found StoryWorks.
