Nicholas Kingsley is an American Wizard, educator, and writer who serves as Headmaster of The Grey School of Wizardry, the secular nonprofit educational institution founded by Oberon Zell in 2004. Kingsley entered the School as a pupil in 2005, joined its faculty in 2017, and became its second Headmaster in 2022.
His work approaches Wizardry as an accountable modern trade shaped through disciplined study and practiced judgment. His institutional work has centered on curriculum renewal and practical instruction. It also includes the continuing development of the School’s Highspire and vGSW campuses.
Kingsley’s books carry this work into several forms. The Wizard’s Walk considers how learning becomes conduct and how the title of Wizard is earned through the life one builds. Wizardry for the World Today examines the place of Wizardry within contemporary society. Toward a Formal Framework for Resonant Magick: A Proto-Mathematical Model explores a provisional language for describing resonance-based magical operations.
Through GSW Press, the publishing arm of The Grey School, Kingsley continues to develop practical and reflective works for readers interested in serious Wizardry and esoteric education.
