Karen Coombs

Dr. Karen Coombs holds a Ph.D. in Information Technology, is an accomplished educator, and is a technology leader with over 20 years of experience spanning software quality assurance, systems engineering, and AI governance. As Founder of Coombs Consulting LLC, she helps organizations build AI governance and continuous-verification practices, the ongoing discipline of proving that a system’s controls still work, not just that they exist on paper. Alongside her consulting practice, Dr. Coombs serves as adjunct faculty at three universities, preparing the next generation of technology professionals to build secure, accountable systems.
