Jiazheng Chen is an author, publisher, and data analyst whose work spans the sciences, mathematics, the social sciences, standardized test preparation, and professional reference—more than forty books to date, across simplified Chinese, traditional Chinese, and English editions.
He holds a bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences and a master's degree in Biostatistics, and works professionally as a data analyst specializing in the healthcare industry, where his focus is clinical-trial and real-world evidence data. That training accounts for the clarity, rigor, and evidence-minded approach running through everything he writes. He began teaching at the high school level at seventeen, as a tutor at a teaching institution, and has never stopped—two decades of watching where students actually get stuck, which is a different education from knowing the material yourself. He is also a licensed California insurance producer, and wrote the exam preparation guide to go with the license.
Much of his writing grows out of a single conviction: that difficult subjects become approachable when someone explains not just what to learn, but how to think about it. His books span biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, calculus, statistics, environmental science, economics, history, political science, psychology, and philosophy, alongside professional volumes on finance, biostatistics and U.S. healthcare data—work aimed at readers making the leap into an unfamiliar academic system and language, and at professionals entering a field where the documentation assumes you already belong.
Beyond the page, his interests are as varied as his bibliography and pursued with the same seriousness. He has practiced calligraphy since the age of six and has taken multiple international awards for it. He has been practicing tactical shooting for more than a decade and competed successfully in tactical competitions. At home, he raises and cares for dogs, and he designs and ships his own software—both experiences reinforcing his belief that real expertise comes from doing, not just studying.
Whether writing about science, exams, or life itself, Jiazheng Chen aims to be the guide he once wished he'd had: honest, thorough, and genuinely on the reader's side.
