Philip McMahon

Philip McMahon is an author, specialist entrance-exam tutor and founder of the 11 Plus Tutoring Academy, a leading provider of selective school entrance preparation in the UK.

He has many years' experience preparing children for selective entrance examinations and has taught thousands of pupils through classroom and online programmes, intensive courses and mock examinations.

Philip has previously written entrance-exam preparation materials published by Collins and Letts. His latest books draw directly on his teaching experience and are designed to develop the core English and reasoning skills required for 11+, grammar school, independent and private school entrance examinations.

Although rooted in UK entrance-exam preparation, his books are designed to support children more widely preparing for selective school admissions and entrance assessments in the UK and internationally.

Philip's aim is to make challenging material accessible, build confidence and develop skills that extend well beyond any individual entrance examination.
