Judith Herzfeld writes from decades of experience in interdisciplinary teaching and research on the faculties of Brandeis University, Harvard Medical School and Amherst College. She has written two books for general readers and authored or co-authored over 200 scholarly articles. Her research expertise has been in biophysical chemistry (i.e., investigations of the molecular basis of biological functions using methods from physics).
