EDSON XAVIER

Edson Xavier de Castro, born in Formiga, Minas Gerais, Brazil, is a writer and author of award-winning short stories, chronicles, and narratives.

His work has received awards and honorable mentions in competitions organized by cultural institutions from different regions of Brazil, including the “Cleber Onias Guimarães” Literary Competition, the Cataratas Short Stories and Poetry Award, the Alípio Mendes Short Story Competition, the Competition of the Academia Campista de Letras, and the FECI/INTER Cultural Competition.

His works have also been selected for inclusion in anthologies such as *Ressonância*, *Histórias de Trabalho*, *Histórias de Amor e Fé*, and *Crônicas Selecionadas*.

*Fé em Movimento — Peregrinação, Oração e Vida* (*Faith in Motion — Pilgrimage, Prayer, and Life*) is his first book. It reflects on prayer, spirituality, and the human journey, drawing on the Prayer for Peace attributed to Saint Francis of Assisi, the Franciscan tradition, Marian spirituality, and the Psalms of Ascents.
