LMHC-D, LPC, is a bilingual (Russian-English) psychotherapist, certified
Gestalt therapist, and mother of two. She immigrated to the United States from Minsk, Belarus,
in her early twenties, and her experience of immigration and living between cultures continues
to deeply inform both her life and therapeutic work.
Prior to opening her practice, Yuliya has worked in a wide range of mental health settings
across New York City. She opened her private practice in 2017 and currently sees clients in her
office in Brooklyn Heights, New York. She also completed a four-year clinical fellowship in
Gestalt therapy at Gestalt Associates for Psychotherapy, which continues to shape not only who
she is as a therapist, but also who she is as a person.
Today, Yuliya specializes in maternal mental health, relationships, identity, immigrant
experiences, and the emotional complexities of modern motherhood. She provides therapy in
both Russian and English and is passionate about creating spaces where people feel seen,
understood, and less alone. Her work is grounded not only in professional training, but also in
lived experience — including the ongoing realities of motherhood, family life, immigration, and
building a life and career in New York City.
In her free time, Yuliya enjoys running and has completed three 5K races in the last year. For
her, running is a way to reconnect to her body and feel resilient and empowered. She also runs
a book club for Gestalt therapists at Gestalt Associates for Psychotherapy in New York City and
is passionate about building a professional tribe for therapists.
