Faith Alpher doesn't just tell stories, she's lived them. A New Jersey native, professional speaker, SAG-AFTRA actress, radio personality, and comedian, Faith was recently sworn in as the first person of color to serve as Poet Laureate of Livermore, CA, proof her words carry just as much weight on the page as they do behind the mic.

Ask her why any of this matters, and she'll tell you having a little faith is timeless. "I think the world needs a little more faith and fun," she says. "Places where we can feel uplifted and connect with each other."
