Sean Peng

Sean Peng is the founder of Cloud 9 Foot Spa, known as America's Family-Friendly Spa, which he built with his partner Lynn after starting out in the San Francisco Bay Area and later settling in the Pacific Northwest. Over more than fifteen years, he has watched children grow up at Cloud 9, coming in for a relaxing massage of their own alongside parents and grandparents, then returning years later with children of theirs. Self-care, he came to believe, is something you learn early and carry for life.

The Dreams of Penguins grew out of those years. Sean met the Chilean illustrator Luanda Pinto Guasch while walking the Camino de Santiago, and a conversation on the road became a book about Baby Pax, a young Emperor Penguin discovering how to care for his Foot, Body & Soul. Published under Cloud 9 Press, it is Sean's way of giving children a gentle language for rest, kindness, and self-care.

Sean lives in Washington with his family, where he keeps writing, keeps walking, and still believes the right people arrive at the right time.
