Guo Cheen

Dr. Guo Cheen is a Mahāyāna Buddhist nun, scholar, and translator dedicated to rendering the intricate cosmology of the Huayan School into lucid English. Specializing in the Avataṃsaka Sūtra and the commentaries of National Master Chengguan, she is the author of Translating Totality in Parts: Chengguan's Commentaries and Subcommentaries to the Avataṃsaka Sūtra, Listening Your Way to Enlightenment: A Meditation, and co-editor of the interfaith work Women, Spirituality and Transformative Leadership: Where Grace Meets Power.

Her work bridges academic insight with contemplative practice to illuminate the path of awakening. Dr. Guo Cheen is the founder of The Compassion Network and North American Buddhist Association.
