George Chu

George Chu holds a Master of Engineering in Software Engineering from Peking University and is an IEEE Senior Member.

He has written and published dozens of books. On the technical side he writes practical playbooks for people putting AI to work — lawyers, accountants, teachers, small-business owners, engineering leads — each built on a named method rather than on enthusiasm. The same instinct runs through his books on markets and money, from Quantitative Trading Strategies with Python to The Quant Billionaire, which implements ten strategies from scratch and reports fourteen years of results, including the four that lose money. Machine Learning: From Principles to Applications carries it furthest: not one measured number in it was typed by hand. He also writes fiction — four novels, and five comedies in five acts, one of them entirely in rhymed couplets.
