Dr Raj Balu

Dr Raj Balu is a paediatrician based in England. Over years of clinical practice, he noticed how rarely children with epilepsy saw their own experience reflected back to them in the stories they read — and how much that silence could shape a child's sense of being different or alone.

Meera and the Glitch grew out of that gap: a warm, honest book that gives a child a language for seizures, alongside a story about friendship and self-understanding. Written for readers aged 9–12, it's also intended as a companion for parents and teachers navigating the same territory.
