Melba Acey

Melba Acey, MSP, CCC-SLP has spent more than 20 years as a pediatric speech-language pathologist and AAC Specialist helping children find their voices — in all the different and wonderful ways voices show up. She is also the founder of AAC Adventure, which helps families and therapists make AAC feel doable instead of overwhelming.

She is also the author of Navigating AAC: A Parent's Guide to Empowering Your Child Through Communication. Sadie Says is her first picture book, inspired by the everyday brilliance of the kids she works with — the huggers, the signers, the button-pushers, and the "no!"-sayers. Because everyone has something to say.
