Hi! I'm Lakshya Poonia.

Most people spend their free time playing games.

I spend mine imagining fake spiders, ridiculous school adventures, and characters who somehow manage to get detention every five minutes.

I'm a 12-year-old student from Jaipur, Rajasthan, and I love writing stories that make people laugh. School has always been full of funny moments, and I enjoy asking myself, "What if something completely unexpected happened?" That's usually how my stories begin... and how my characters end up in trouble.

Milo Mercer's Mile Long List of Pranks is my debut novel. I wanted to create a book that feels like the kind of story I would love to read—fast, funny, packed with harmless pranks, unforgettable characters, and lots of "Uh-oh..." moments. Milo might not always make the smartest decisions, but he definitely makes life more interesting.

When I'm not writing, you'll probably find me reading, designing something on my computer, learning web development, or thinking of new story ideas. (Don't worry—I test my ideas on paper before I test them on people.)

I have also completed a draft of another children's book, which is currently unpublished, and I'm excited to keep creating more adventures in the future.

I hope Milo Mercer's Mile Long List of Pranks makes readers laugh, smile, and maybe—even if it's just for a moment—wish every day could be April Fool's Day... preferably without the glitter bomb.
