LANFRANCO CURZI

Lanfranco Curzi is an Italian engineer with over thirty years of experience in the design and delivery of energy infrastructure: utility-scale photovoltaic plants, transmission and distribution networks, pyrolysis plants fed with biomass and civil and industrial waste, and agro-industrial facilities with innovative production and sustainable management. A registered member of the Order of Engineers of Teramo and of the Register of Qualified Experts in Radiation Protection at Italy's Central Labour Inspectorate in Rome, he has developed projects in Italy and abroad. His thesis on inertial confinement fusion by laser implosion opened a research path that continues today with the study of costs, benefits and criticalities of SMR, AMR, fusion and thorium reactors.

Alongside his professional activity he cultivates a passion for classical and quantum physics, cosmology and philosophy of science. This passion — with the belief that science must speak to the public with rigor and without jargon — led him to the Nuclear Trilogy (Il Nucleare per Tutti Vol. 1 and Vol. 2, and Ionizing Radiation Impact on Health and Environment), popular science on civil nuclear energy and radiation protection for demanding non-specialists.

With Holographic Universe (2026) he addresses the most radical frontier of contemporary physics: holographic theory, quantum mechanics and neuroscience of consciousness converge toward a paradigm in which information — not matter — is the ultimate substrate of reality. A book that, without leaving the scientific method, reopens the question of consciousness, the soul and the transcendent.

With Nuovo nucleare in Italia — Tanto rumore per nulla? (2026) he measures the distance between political announcements on Italy's return to civil nuclear, industrial capacity, timelines and the country's real electrical emergency in 2023-2035.

He lives in Abruzzo, Italy. He writes in Italian and English. His books are in Kindle and paperback (illustrated 20×25 cm format).
