Toni Bellver

Toni Bellver has spent half his life behind a front desk. He has handed out thousands of keys, lost a few along the way, and learned that a hotel runs on three things: patience, chocolate hidden in the back office, and the people who clock in at five to seven.

He writes about what happens on the other side of the desk—the funny, the absurd, and the moments that can sometimes be genuinely moving—with the certainty that everyone, whether they have worked in customer service or not, will recognise at least one of his characters.

"Historias de Recepcion" is his first book. Neither the hotel nor the guests are real. Tuesdays in August, unfortunately, are.
